The short answer For a corporate retreat in Morocco in 2027, the right choice depends on your group: Attendance MICE, No Limits and Travel and Events Morocco, DMCs based in Marrakech, for a retreat or incentive trip in the city that accounts for 60% of Morocco's MICE revenue; Morocco Select if your project runs through Casablanca or Tangier; Activ'Travel if CSR is in your brief; PK Event and INNOV'events if you want a contact based in France. We put ourselves first: we are judge and party, and we explain why below.

Choosing an agency for a retreat in Morocco starts with one question: who produces on the ground. A local DMC, a French agency that relies on a Moroccan partner and a national network do not offer the same thing, and none is better in absolute terms.

Here are eight agencies, presented with what can be verified: their specialty, public references with a link to the source, and the kind of client each one suits. The context: Marrakech accounts for 60% of Morocco's MICE revenue (TourMaG, 29 November 2024), and the 2026 Cvent barometer ranks it the 4th MICE destination in the Middle East and Africa, with Casablanca 10th (Le360, May 2026). The information comes from the agencies' official websites, the press and the French foreign ministry, all checked on 25 October 2026. If one of them would like to correct or complete its profile, write to us at contact@agence-dare-dare.fr.

The ranking at a glance

We place Dare-Dare first, for the reasons explained below. The other seven agencies are not ranked against each other: they meet different needs, and the right one is the one that fits your retreat.

How we built this ranking

We are judge and party, and we know it: we rank ourselves first, and we explain why. So that you can redo the reasoning yourself, here are the six criteria we apply, and that we advise you to apply to any agency, us included. Each comes with a public fact and a question to ask.

  1. Local DMC or subcontracted. Ask who produces on the ground. A local operator holds the Moroccan travel agency operating licence; some agencies display it, such as No Limits (no. ODV-1710, contact page). The reverse model exists too: Morocco Select presents itself as an operating partner for large agencies (its about page). Neither is a flaw, but the contract should say who is responsible for the ground.
  2. Supplier network. Venues, hotels, desert tents, caterers, technicians: ask which venues the agency has visited itself and which options it can hold. The backdrop: Marrakech accounts for 60% of Morocco's MICE revenue, while Casablanca holds 13% of the country's MICE infrastructure, Rabat 9% and Tangier 6% (TourMaG, 29 November 2024). No Moroccan hotel appears in the regional top 10 hotels of the 2026 Cvent barometer: the choice of venue is often played out beyond the big hotels, in riads, estates and desert camps.
  3. Transfers, passport and flights. The DMC should handle shuttles, group flight times and ID documents. The country has 25 airports with direct links to 52 countries (TourMaG). For French citizens, the passport must be valid for the whole stay: the national ID card alone is no longer accepted (France Diplomatie, updated 15 September 2026).
  4. Safety and insurance. Ask for the professional liability insurance certificate. For a French agency, check the Atout France registration and the financial guarantee. PK Event is the only agency on this list to name its guarantors on its website (Atout France licence, APST guarantee, Hiscox professional liability). Also check the group's repatriation and cancellation cover.
  5. Ramadan and calendar. A good agency warns you before you lock your dates: Ramadan 2027 should start around 8 February, but the date is provisional (see the FAQ). The programme, the service and sometimes the drinks offer change during the month.
  6. Measurable CSR. Ask for measurable actions, not a slogan: a certificate or proof, a scope, last year's results. Activ'Travel publishes figures on its CSR page, INNOV'events details its actions and says its ISO 20121 certification is in progress, Attendance displays ISO logos without detail: the question to ask is the same for all.

Why these seven agencies? We only kept agencies and DMCs whose official website was open on 25 October 2026, active in 2026, with public references or a displayed legal framework: five are Moroccan (Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier), two are French (Bordeaux, national network). We make no judgement on their work: we present what each one displays and what can be verified. Some agencies were not kept because we could not open their official website or cross-check their references; that is not a judgement.

Why us first? Because, on these six criteria, what we can prove matches what an HR or communications director looks for first: a DMC that is our own in Morocco, a dedicated project manager, a reply within 24 hours, attested insurance and a written CSR charter. It is an openly editorial choice, not a score given by a third party.

We produce corporate retreats, incentive trips, company parties and launches, from Paris to Cannes and Morocco. In Morocco we are our own DMC, with a team between Paris and Casablanca: privatised riads, the Agafay desert, Essaouira, hotels, transfers, rooming and a closing party. The typical programme is detailed in our 3-day seminar in Marrakech, and the DMC's role in our Morocco DMC guide.

Why we rank ourselves first. We build and run the retreat ourselves, with a dedicated project manager from brief to event day, local suppliers we know and a team you can reach in French. We reply within 24 hours, with a quote itemised line by line. Our CSR charter has ten commitments, and our professional liability insurance certificate is provided on request.

Verifiable references

  • Our team has produced for Bottega Veneta (three days in Venice), Balenciaga (three days in Paris, with teams from all over the world) and BNP (over 200 participants in Reims): two seminars outside Morocco, which we cite as seminar references, not as Moroccan ones.
  • Our team has produced events for Chanel, Dior, Samsung, Hermès, Longchamp, Mugler, Deloitte, Allianz and Maybelline. Our Moroccan programmes are described in our free guide to organising a seminar in Morocco.

How to choose your agency

Whichever agency you pick, the same path avoids unpleasant surprises. Five steps, in this order.

  1. Write your brief before you call. Objective, number of participants, dates, city, budget. Our brief template fits in ten questions.
  2. Fix the city and the dates. Our free guide to organising a seminar in Morocco covers the seasons, Ramadan 2027, flights and formalities. For Marrakech, see our event agency in Marrakech page and the typical 3-day programme.
  3. Ask who produces on the ground. Local DMC or partner: both exist, but the contract should name who is responsible for the ground, the transfers and safety. Our Morocco DMC guide explains the role.
  4. Ask for the commitments in writing. Professional liability insurance certificate, operating licence or registration, CSR charter or certification. To gauge the impact of the trip, our carbon footprint calculator gives a first order of magnitude, flights included.
  5. Test responsiveness and name your contact. The way an agency answers your brief tells you how it will answer when you are a few thousand kilometres from Paris. Ask who your project manager will be, and what the plan B is if something goes wrong.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a visa or a passport for a retreat in Morocco?

For French citizens, the passport must be valid for the whole stay: the national ID card alone is no longer accepted. A return ticket and proof of means of subsistence are required, and the stay is limited to 90 days without extension (France Diplomatie, updated 15 September 2026). For other nationalities, the rule depends on each participant: check it on the official Moroccan portals before departure. We ask for passport copies six to eight weeks before departure.

What are the dates of Ramadan 2027 in Morocco?

They are provisional. Ramadan 2027 should start around Monday 8 February, with Eid al-Fitr on 9 or 10 March. Morocco announces the official dates after the crescent moon is sighted, to be confirmed in February 2027. The programme and service change during the month, and the sale of alcoholic drinks may be restricted in tourist establishments. For a retreat in February or March, we advise the second half of March, after Eid, or April. Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health; drink in moderation.

What is the best season for a retreat in Morocco?

March to May is our preferred window, then September to November. From June to September, Marrakech often tops 35°C: the Atlantic coast (Essaouira, Casablanca) is milder. From December to February, days are clear but nights are cold, especially in the Agafay desert, where an outdoor dinner calls for blankets, braziers and a plan B in a closed tent.

Is a retreat in Morocco safe, and what insurance should you ask for?

France Diplomatie (Safety page, updated 15 September 2026) advises against the Mauritanian border and urges caution south of the Algerian border and in Western Sahara; Marrakech, Agafay, Casablanca, Essaouira and Tangier are not among the areas cited. Ask the agency for its professional liability insurance certificate and, if it is French, its Atout France registration with financial guarantee. Also check the group's repatriation and cancellation cover. At Dare-Dare, the insurance certificate is provided on request.

Should you use a local DMC or a French agency?

Both models exist. A local DMC produces on the ground, holds the Moroccan licence and knows its suppliers. A French agency offers a nearby contact, but generally relies on a local partner. In both cases, ask who is responsible for the ground and what the contract says. At Dare-Dare, we are our own DMC in Morocco, with a team between Paris and Casablanca.

How far in advance should you book a retreat in Morocco?

Allow four to six months between brief and departure. Less is possible, but the most sought-after venues (riads, desert camps, hotels in high season) go first, especially from March to May and from September to November. Around Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, suppliers and transport are in great demand: avoid those dates or book very early.

There is no single best agency for a retreat in Morocco, only the one that fits your group, your city and your dates. Our advice: shortlist two or three agencies whose specialty matches your project, compare their answers to the same brief, and ask each one who produces on the ground.

Does your retreat sound like something for us? Tell us the date, the city and the number of participants, and we will tell you honestly what we can do with it, dare-dare.
